 good bike for the price, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Diamondback 2012 Response Comp Mountain Bike (Black) (Sports) descent components and well built. if ur going for this db response, choose this comp mdl.it has beefier fork and hydraulic disc brakes really makes the difference. specially that oversized front disc. the only disappointing part was the cassette, there was a bit of wobble at first. but now it wobbles like an exotic dancer, keeps on jumping gears. this is just my 2nd day owning this bike and now i can't use it ti'll i get it fix. i hope that this is the only issue with this bike. The frame is heavy but it absorbs vibration as good as my very old steel framed mountain bike. The front fork lock out is really nice for going up hills . The brakes are the best I have ever had on a bike, huge difference from the old center pull and newer liner pull brakes. Really like that the drive train components are all Shimano.The manual and assembly manual are not very good, kind of a waste of time . They do include all the instruction for the components and that is very good. Assembly requires attaching front disk to the wheel mounting the wheel, attaching peddles, mounting handle bar and seat. Had to adjust the front caliper position a little. Should keep me going for a long time. This bike is not for someone who wants to do hard core jumps and drops. |
