Unfortunately, we thought this one looked cool and decided to buy it for her. Parts were missing when it arrived and the tires constantly popped off. The brakes were cheap and the mechanism was sticky. The gears came bent and unfortunately we didn't notice this until we tried to go out for our first ride. I took the bike to the shop and they estimated that it would cost more to fix/improve the bike than what I paid for it. Don't waste your time. I on the other hand spent slightly more and bought the Tommaso Imola Road Bike and love it. Spend a bit more and you won't regret it. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful  not good, not bad, Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Tour De France Stage One Polka Dot Bike (Sports) this is the first bike i have ever purchased, though i used to have an old schwinn bike from uncle. this bike is at a relatively cheap price compare to most of road bikes, however, i can tell that this is also i cheap-make bike as well. the out-look of this bike is really good, but components and parts are made with cheap materials, such as the break lever, the brake, and the pedals and so on. and as the other reviewer mentioned, the wheel is a little bent, it take time for you to fix it, unless you would spend $$ at a bike shop. these were the negative side.but overall, i didn't receive with parts missing (as the other reviewer mentioned), and the assembly is not difficult, it took me just about 1 hour. however, it took me a lot of time to fix all the little parts. finally, my bike running smoothly, and it is eye-catching too. compare to the price of other road bikes, i would say this bike is ok, not too good, not too bad. and if you are just a bike racer or serious biker,... The seat always moves no matter how tight i make it before I ride same thing with the handlebars. They taped the handle bars poorly and came undone instantly.. The rim bent on my 3rd ride out and the back tire popped from just casual riding. The gears and frame are good. I bought a used ross mt bike for $30 and it works better. |
